These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Solar Advantage website and the information and services offered through it. By using this site or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Informational Purpose Only

The content on this site — including descriptions of net metering rules, tax credits, incentive programs, utility rates, and estimated savings — is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not an offer, a quote, or a guarantee. Program rules, tax law, utility tariffs, and incentive availability change, and eligibility depends on individual circumstances that can only be confirmed through an evaluation of your specific property, system, and agreements.

2. No Tax, Legal, or Financial Advice

Solar Advantage is not a tax advisor, law firm, or financial advisor. Any references to federal or state tax credits — including Section 48E credits — describe credits that are claimed at the ownership level by the applicable finance partner, not by you, and are passed through as pricing where applicable. Bonus credits (such as Domestic Content or Energy Community adders) depend on installed equipment and property location and are not guaranteed on any project. You should consult your own CPA, attorney, or financial advisor regarding your individual situation before making any decision.

3. Estimates and Savings

Any savings figures, rate spreads, program earnings, or payback illustrations on this site are estimates based on assumptions that may not apply to your household. Actual results vary by utility, rate schedule, usage patterns, system size, battery capacity, weather, and program participation. Grid program availability, rates, and enrollment windows change, and participation income is variable, not guaranteed.

4. Evaluations and Quotes

Submitting a form or requesting an evaluation does not create any obligation on your part to purchase, or on our part to provide services. No agreement exists between you and Solar Advantage or any finance partner until a definitive written agreement is signed by all parties. If your existing solar system is under a lease or power purchase agreement, additional approvals from the system owner may be required, and we cannot guarantee such approvals.

5. Third Parties

Financing for our programs is provided by third-party finance partners under their own terms and credit requirements. Utility programs, virtual power plant programs, and government incentives are operated by third parties, and we do not control their rules, availability, or continued operation. References to third-party programs or trademarks are for identification only and do not imply endorsement.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this site — text, graphics, logos, and design — is owned by or licensed to Solar Advantage and protected by applicable law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute site content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the site, including by submitting false information, interfering with its operation, attempting to access systems or data without authorization, or scraping content or personal information.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Statements about regulations, rates, and programs reflect our understanding as of the "Last updated" date and may become outdated.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solar Advantage will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of this site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or affects the terms of any signed installation or service agreement, which will govern any services actually provided.

10. Communications

By submitting your contact information, you agree that we may contact you as described in our Privacy Policy and in the consent language presented with the form. Consent to marketing communications is not a condition of purchase, and you may opt out at any time.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
